EL005 Data Logger


The EnvironMon EL005 data logger is the main processor, controller and storage for all weather sensor reading, the sensors are not connected directly to the data logger to prevent any external noise interfering with sensor reading, which results in a false reading, the data logger connected to two types of analogue to digital converters through 2 pair wire, one pair supply the power from the data logger to the converter and the other pair to carry the digital communication between the converters and the data logger, the converters are connected in series with each other and with the data logger, the three converters are, El026 for measuring temperature and humidity through EL030 dual temperature and humidity probe, the other two are El037 for measuring analogue voltage or current, each of the EL037 have four analogue input each input have a jumper to select between current or voltage input to measure sensors with (4-20mA 0.3% accuracy) outputs, (0 to 2.5VDC 0.2% accuracy) or sensors with (0 to 10VDC 0.4% accuracy) output, the input is scalable to engineering units, which means this automatic weather sensors can accept many different type of industrial analogue sensors which makes it very flexible, unlike most of the data logger available, the EL005 done not need intensive programing nor technical skill, it requires just a simple 2 minutes setup steps to allow the selection of the choice of sensor name and scaling the sensor, this makes the EL005 one of the easiest data logger for weather application, it is fully protected from hardware wrong connection, short circuit and also software, setting can be saved and backed up just in case someone reconfigure the data logger wrongly, training does not take very long to get unskilled person to master configuring the data logger also to add new sensors which can be from any manufacturer.

EL005 has a large 250,000 sample memory and long-life internal rechargeable batteries, this combination makes it ideal for recording data over long periods of time. In case of communications break between the weather station and client server due to server failure or being switched off or unpaid bill for SIM card or landline or communication failure due to any other reason, location as soon as communication is restored the data will be sent to the client server.

The EL005 logger has internal re-chargeable batteries.

These batteries are kept topped up from the solar panel during the day, and will keep the system running for up to 72 hours if the solar system fails or during while doing the solar system maintenance.
